Conflict Management
Conflict Management Introduction Course
This basic introductory course is to highlight the risk factors of various work places, including; routes to and from work (including the different times of day etc.), and is designed to assist and prepare individuals on the ever changing environments and the people that they may meet within. The short course is directed at staff in the workplaces who come under regular threats and have very limited powers, if any at all, in dealing with them; and very often receiving no support, as the staff are not taken seriously; possibly from senior management or sometimes the threat of legal implications. We offer a basic discussion with groups to highlight specific problems and concerns, followed by our advice, and some alternative solutions for future practice. We can then introduce some scenario based problems, accompanied with BREAKAWAY TECHNIQUES. We encourage the entire group to participate to feel the personal benefits from attending the course.
The course has proved very popular with School teachers, social workers, public sector, community support staff, and retail staff. All who have needed a confidence boost after receiving numerous day to day abuse and personal threats, whilst trying to carry out their daily duty, including teaching children. The benefits of this course include the raising of awareness, confidence and team building, the assessing of personal risks in the work place, and positive safe steps to reduce conflict in the workplace.
Kent County Council have reported that since numerous staff attended the programmes, they felt that the course had re-focussed their concerns into a positive state of mind; enabling a more confident outlook when faced with similar problems in the future. The BREAKAWAY TECHNIQUES, had also been a huge success too.

Award in Conflict Management
The Award in Conflict Management is a recent addition to our courses. It is a 1 day introduction to Conflict Management aimed at Hospitality Staff to inform, prepare and raise awareness when in close contact with the general public in Licensed Premises. Licensed Trade staff need to be aware that close interaction with the general public may lead to disorder related issues. We feel that this course is a necessity to all employees working within the Leisure and Entertainment Industry.

The Course is assessed by a multiple choice examination
Conflict Management Qualification
The Conflict Management Qualification is a requirement as part of the Door Supervisors, Security Guards, and Vehicle Immobilisation training courses to obtain there SIA Licenses. This particular course is also of great interest to Licensees and other hospitality staff working with the general public. The course highlights the dangers surrounding conflict interaction and public disorder, and clearly identifies how to assess risks, dealing with People, Objects and Places.

Conflict Resolution
We are NHS APPROVED, to provide training to the National Health Service. This is becoming a very valuable part of front line staff training (as the threat level continues to grow), not only in the A & E Departments, but across the nursing and care industry. The need for raising awareness is essential in today’s climate. We share our expertise with the medical and care industry, whilst ensuring that we share sector knowledge to pinpoint the specific areas of concern. This enables Mission Training to combat concerns, and to build confidence within the nursing and care industry. This includes doctor surgery receptionists, hospital porters, nurses and surgeons.
